Abstract Wild edible plants (WEPs) can be widely found in the world and defined as native species that grow naturally their natural habitat. They have become part of traditional food human diet used folk medicine to treat diseases. are very rich terms nutraceuticals. Melatonin is a hormone providing several benefits for health. It has functions such regulating growth development increasing tolerance environmental stress factors plants. stated serum melatonin level humans increases after intake foods containing melatonin. This study examined presence wild grown cornelian cherry fruits by UFLC-FD determined suitable extraction chromatographic conditions. The optimum mobile phase, excitation/emission wavelength, solvent were methanol: water: acetic acid, 275/345 nm, HCl, respectively. content ranged from 130.82 201.84 ng g −1 fresh fruit.
